A woman shot by police on a Brooklyn street was fighting for her life Thursday night, police said.
The victim, who is in her 30’s, was blasted in the chest at the corner of Church Ave. and E. 38th St. in East Flatbush around 5:40 p.m., officials said.
“I saw the crowd and heard everyone screaming,” said one woman who works nearby.
“I came over and saw the person laying down in a pool of blood,” she said. “She was in the street … they started giving her chest compressions and took her in the ambulance.”
The woman, who was not identified, was rushed to Kings County Hospital in critical condition, the FDNY and NYPD said.
The circumstances of the shooting were not immediately known.
